Inc. published an article this week about the rise of business blogs and how they are taking the marketing world by storm. The article talked about the advantages that small businesses have for using blogs: cost effectiveness, ease of use and “a good way to be heard and stand apart from the crowd.”

“Blogs are tailor-made for small businesses, and they are a better tool for them,” said Anita Campbell, editor of the blog Small Business Trends. “Large businesses have to worry about what they can say in their blogs. They have to worry about SEC regulations and their different constituents, so small businesses have a better chance of making blogs work for them.”

Small and emerging market businesses are finding huge advantages using blogs. SMB’s are using them to enhance their PR efforts, solve employee communications woes and have their executive teams communicate directly with employees and customers.
